Applying for a US visa

You may already know that it's not easy to get a visa to America. I confirm that it's really true. First of all, if you want a US visa you have to check to make sure what type of visa you want. this depends on what purpose(s) you want to come to America. [I'm writing this when I'm in the States so I've got mine already and what I'm going to write now is my fact and opinion. You may believe or not I won't bother] When you know already then apply for that type. you may check from websites about this information.

I remember when I was young I once had a book in Thai called Jot Mai Tung Puean (จดหมายถึงเพื่อน) or A Letter to a Friend by Wanich Jarungkit-anan. I loved this book very much. The author talked about his journey to America. He started from the beginning of his preparation in Thailand until he ended up studying in the States. That book inspired me so much that I wished I could go to the USA some day. Yes, I accomplished my wish many years ago. The first time when I was working in an international organization. I had a chance to take a month off and travelled in America from Los Angeles to Washington, D.C. and Maryland. And then, the second time when I was studying in the EIL Program at Chulalongkorn University. I got a chance to stay at San Jose University and learned from famous lecturers in the Bay Area, California.




That's what fairs are for

The last 2 days of January and the first day of February I had to work outside Kasetsart University for 3 days. It was during Kaset Fair. But as soon as I had a chance, I went back to eat at the fair right away. This year I went to work in my office for 4 days after my mission outside finished. For all those days of work, my sister, my teacher, my friends, and my student who already graduated came to visit me. Actually, they came to enjoy Kaset Fair. There were a lot of things to see and do here. I hate to describe for a long, long time and let you imagine. So here I come with a short video clip. Kaset Fair

Dear Folks

Kaset Fair is just around the corner. It's a big event of agricultural fair and academic research exhibitions in Thailand hosted by Kasetsart University, the most famous university in this field. You may find a lot of interesting agricultural products, innovations, new machines, trendy pets, yummy food, beautiful flowers especially orchids, and a lot more that words cannot cover. Come and see them with your own eyes. It is during 28 January - 5 February, 2011.

The significant day of ACIT

Yesterday was the day I worked so hard from early morning to the beginnig of the night. It was a special day that I was proud to be the one of a small group of people who created an impressing event to make our teacher happy.

Thailand Research Expo 2010

Once a year this special exhibitions and research presentations are provided to all interested participants for free. There are a lot of good innovations, research, shows, etc. This year it is held during 26-30 August 2010. If you're interested in academic research do not hesitate to go to this Thailand Research Expo 2010, you'll experience a lot of fantastic and useful things. Please check the link given and register as soon as possible or else you won't be able to get your seat in there. Look at the photos, I went there last year with Assoc.Prof.Dr.Maturos Chongchaikit and a PhD student Udomluk Koolsriroj. We had so much fun and we planned to go again every year. So, I hope to see you there this year.

It's me in Italy.

I fortunately had a chance to go to Italy recently. It was an exciting excursion where I dreamed to be able to go for a long time. No, not because of Dan Brown who wrote Davinci Code who inspired me. I was inspired long before he even planned to write I think. It was just a dream of a young girl who thought one day in her life she would get married and go for a honeymoon in that beautiful country. Well, until now I haven't found anyone I'd love to spend the rest of my life with, so here I am a single grown-up who is free to travel around the globe if I can afford it.

When I was young I loved one song and I can sing it well until today. The song's name is, 'You light up my life'.  If you've never heard this song because you're too young or you've never paid attention,  please follow this link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b07-yKnKRMQ. You will find that the song is slow and sweetly sung by Debbie Boone. The meaning of the song is nice and hits my heart. I've been waiting for someone to sing me his song, like what she sang. Well, it may not be exactly but very closed, anyway. You may see that this blog has been written onec in a while and there're not many people making use of it. I may not post a new entry very often but if you're my real fan, you may notice that I link more websites gradually. No one gives any comment on my blog for a long, long time. Then recently a mysterious person named 'Yookung' has made some comments! Wow! This is what really thrills me. Thank you so much for your attention, moreover; your comments have encouraged me to come back and write something.

Inspiration

It seems like nothing has happened since I introduced this blog to some students. Only one person said she wanted to follow me and another person said she has tried to practise English using some links in my blog. That's it!

Am I too ambitious to expect that some more students who failed the English examination as required by Graduate School would contact me, and then I could form a group of students who have the same goal to pass the test to be my real fan? I'd ask this group to keep practising English daily using the links I suggested. Then when they feel they have enough self-confidence, they can apply to take the test again and see if they can make it or not. In short, I want to see if this blog works or not.

If there is anybody doing what I said, could you please let me know so that I can keep track on your effort. Don't be shy, I'm here to help and this is just my first device.

Welcome to my blog my dear follower(s).

I've just told some students that this blog is created and ready for anyone who wants to practise English to use a couple of days ago. Today, I'm so glad to have my first follower. Wow! this is something new to me. I've never had any follower before so I really have no idea about what I should do with the follower(s). I just think that it's a good manner to say welcome. So this time I write to welcome Thamonchanok, my first advisee in KU who is now my first follower. I'm glad you follow me. On the way to the goal

Up until now I've put some links that I think may be useful for anyone who wants to practice English. I haven't categorized them yet, just put everything under the same topic. I plan that I'll gradually collect these kind of links from the internet and add them up. Then when there are a lot more for each skill, I will sepearate them into categories. For those who wish to practice your skills now, you may follow the links below and see what is helpful for you.

By the way I haven't informed anybody yet that I'm working on this. It sounds like I'm creating this blog secretly. During the construction

My blog was created to be used for tutoring PhD students who have failed English examinations as required by the Graduate School of Kasetsart University. It was designed by me trying to combine trivia stuff to make my blog as intresting as possible. Well, the first day I created it was in October 2009. I just put one picture under the title welcome and tried to pull java script from Wix.com to decorate it. I was trained by Assoc.Prof.Dr.Maturos Chongchaikij to pull that website to add in this blog. I followed her exactly. Then I realized that I want to see it different. So today I just opened it to see what I could do. And... I just told myself to try something new that I prefered. Then little by little I changed here, there and finally everywhere, ha ha ha... then, here comes my new blog. I hope I'll have time to come back and create it more and more. What I really aim for is by the day this blog is finished, some PhD students can gain something useful to help them achieve their success in taking English exams.

So, just wait and see. Let's hope for the best together.
