The significant day of ACIT

Yesterday was the day I worked so hard from early morning to the beginnig of the night. It was a special day that I was proud to be the one of a small group of people who created an impressing event to make our teacher happy.

It started from the morning session where we had a ceremony with 9 Bhuddhist monks comings to bless us, the founders of the Association of Curriculum and Instuction of Thailand (ACIT), and our new office together with our signs on the auspicious occassion, the first anniversary of our association.

Then during the day time we had 2 well-known lecturers giving special lectures on "การสอนธรรมดาที่ไม่ธรรมดา" (the common teaching techniques that are not so common) by Assoc. Prof. Dr.Nattaya Pilanthananon and "Come Change Your Vision With Web 2.0" by Accoc. Prof. Dr. Maturos Chongchaikit

The highlighted of the day was the party we arranged for our beloved teacher, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Somtawil Dhanasobhon for her retirement from the government service. It was arranged in such a short time to surprised her. We gathered all her students we could contact in such a short time who were available to come and do somethings good for her in return for teaching us with patience, love and care for 33 years in Kasetsart University. About 100 peole came to do so. We had a lot of fun last night because all of the presentations and activities were created from our hearts to present how much we were grateful to our beloved teacher. All the people who attended the party on time felt great. Yet, some were unlucky to arrived too late when the event was over. It's a pity that this event just happened once in a blue moon.


The people who arranged this party were happy that everything went out as we expected even though we were so exhausted but we felt awesome. From making our plan come alive, we have learned a lot especially about working with people. I'd rather not say much about each individual but I can say that I'm glad I have chances to learn that some good friends really do their best for the sake of work. I really appreciated these people. On the other hand, I learned that in the society somebody really faked their best to show how hard they worked. I guess they will learn their lesson from their unsincere behavior in the near future, just wait and see.
